Purpose of the role

• Provide relevant, timely and accurate support and proactively challenge the organization to execute the strategy while always maintaining integrity
• To manage all activities necessary in the to work in the accounting department in a safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally compliant manner
• To meet safety, quality and cost targets
• To develop leadership and competencies of the accounting team
• To ensure the right resources to achieve an efficient accounting organization
• To drive continuous improvement efforts

Main responsibility areas

• Lead and develop the Controlling and accounting team
• Apply standard costing and cost center accounting group principles
• Financial and operational reporting according to deadlines
• to support working capital management (inventories, Accounts payables, Accounts receivables)
• to analyze and report the total result of the plant
• monthly/quarterly reporting
• Annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB together with auditors
• Key contact to the local auditors
• responsible of the local Treasury issues
• to be the contact person for the legal issues of the respective country
• to be responsible that the statutory reporting is done according to the existing rules
• responsible for local tax audits involving also Group Tax Manager
• Product and customer profitability
• Responsible for Credit Management work
• Variance analysis
• Subsidies /refund local filing
• Planning / forecasting
• To provide investment analysis, including actual pay-back of closed projects
• Cost savings follow-up
• Monitor group policies and make sure they are met
• Best practice sharing
• Identify potential area for improvement
• Inform about potential risks and propose mitigations
• To support the plant management

Work experience needed

• Knowledge of IT systems (SAP/HFM/SAGE), Operation processes (LEAN, Cost trackers, KPI) and Standard costing
• High level of initiative and independence in managing responsibilities
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to details
• Language skills in English
• From 3-5 years of experience as Controller or Leader of Accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
