Job description:

• Autonomous management of the warehouse, incoming goods, and outgoing goods
• Disciplinary and technical leadership of the logistics team of 20 employees
• Responsibility for various tasks in delegated areas such as customs, compliance, and international trade.
• Ensuring compliance with customer requirements regarding types of goods, modes of transport, quantities, and deadlines.
• Creation, implementation, and monitoring of legal requirements for calculating origin of goods and preferences.
• Ensuring widespread compliance with export control regulations.
• Organising and controlling individual areas as well as planning, coordinating, monitoring, and optimising logistical processes.

Skills requested:

• Vocational training as a freight forwarder with relevant additional qualifications or degree in logistics, business administration, industrial engineering
• Leadership experience
• Several years of professional experience in an industrial company in the relevant field
• In-depth knowledge of various complex customs matters
• Experience in implementing projects for continuous improvement of logistics and supply chain as well as in using key performance indicators for economic evaluation
• Excellent proficiency in SAP (ideally Key User modules WM, SD, MM) and MS Office
• Knowledge of workflows in a WM-controlled high-bay warehouse
• In-depth knowledge of the road/air/sea transport market
• Experience in operating and implementing customs simplifications (AEO)
• Implementation of legal compliance requirements within the company
• Knowledge of SAP's origin/preference calculation, its result monitoring, and event-driven error correction
• Knowledge of implementing and monitoring compliance with export controls within the company
• Good German and English language skills
• Strong team and communication skills
