Family reunification
In light of the protection of marriage and family, foreign skilled workers working and living in Germany can bring their family to Germany through the process of family reunification. This encompasses any direct relatives, such as spouses, registered partners, parents(-in-law), as well as underage, unmarried children. Different requirements may apply for family reunification depending on whether the foreign skilled worker is from a country within the EU/EEA or a third country.
