Updates on Make it in Germany
The amendments on skilled worker immigration will make the EU Blue Card more attractive - both for international qualified professionals and for companies. In the new "EU Blue Card" video, we show you how third-country nationals can obtain an EU Blue Card under the new legal provisions.

More people now have the opportunity to obtain an EU Blue Card. If they do not meet the requirements, however, they have an alternative: the visa for skilled workers with professional or academic qualifications. The new law also makes it easier to obtain these visas. You can find all the details on the two types of visas on the respective pages.

In addition to the changes regarding the Blue Card and the visa for skilled workers, the approval procedure for the employment of professional drivers from third countries has been facilitated. Even without a professional driver qualification, entry to Germany is possible under certain conditions. Employers who are interested can find an overview of the regulations that apply on Make it in Germany.
